At SnapVector, we prioritize user privacy. We have designed our system to collect the minimum amount of data necessary to function securely.

1. Information We Collect

Account Data

We store your username and a secure hash of your password (using Bcrypt). We cannot read your actual password.

Uploaded Content

We host the image files you upload and metadata such as the upload date and expiration date.

Technical Data (Anonymized)

We do not store raw IP addresses. Instead, we store a SHA-256 hash of your IP address. This allows us to identify unique visitors for rate limiting and security without storing your actual location data.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the hosting service and manage image lifecycles.
To prevent abuse via Rate Limiting (e.g., max 5 registrations per minute).
To enforce bans on malicious users via Hashed IPs.
To display your session history in your account dashboard.

3. Who do we sell data to?

We do not sell any user data, including account information, uploaded files, or hashed technical data, to any third parties.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Images: Automatically deleted on the 1st of every month.
Session History: We retain the last 10 login sessions.
Account Deletion: You have the "Right to be Forgotten." Using the "Delete Account" feature in your settings will immediately and irreversibly remove your user record, password hash, and all associated images.

5. Cookies

We use secure, HTTP-only session cookies to maintain your login state. These are strictly necessary for the operation of the website.
